Pormal nang tinapos ng Senate Impeachment Court nitong Huwebes ang pre-trial conference kaugnay ng impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte, matapos ang limang araw ng pagdinig.
Sa pagdinig, pinasalamatan ni Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr., na nagsisilbing clerk of court, ang prosecution at defense panels dahil sa maayos na koordinasyon na naging dahilan ng mabilis na pagtatapos ng pre-trial proceedings.
Pinangunahan ni Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro ang prosecution panel mula sa House of Representatives, habang si Atty. Shiela Sison naman ang kumatawan sa depensa ng bise presidente.
Ayon kay Bantug, “There being no further matters at this stage, this pre-trial conference is hereby concluded,” bago niya hinampas ang gavel bilang hudyat ng pormal na pagtatapos ng proseso.
Dumalo rin sa seremonya ang mga deputy clerks of court.
Sa pagtatapos ng pre-trial conference, inaasahang susunod na ang pagsisimula ng aktwal na impeachment trial sa mga darating na araw.
