Isinubpoena ng House Committee on Appropriations ang resulta ng imbestigasyon ng Commission on Audit o COA ukol sa intelligence at confidential funds ng tanggapan ni Vice President Sara Duterte noong 2022 at confidential funds ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa ilalim ng kanyang pagiging kalihim nito.
Isinulong ito ni Vice President Sara Dutertesa pagtalakay ng komite sa 2025 proposed budget para sa COA na nagkakahalaga ng P13.4 billion.
Sa budget hearing ay sinabi ni COA Chairman Gamaliel Cordoba na natapos na nila ang imbestigasyon sa P125 million confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) noong 2022; P150 million confidential funds ng DepEd at P500 million confidential funds ng OVP noong 2023.
Ayon kay Cordoba, tumugon na ang OVP at DepEd sa utos na magsumite ng report kung papaano ginamit at ginastos ang intel at confidential funds.
Samantala, binanggit ni Cordoba, na kada quarter ay nagsusumite ang mga ahensya na mayroong confidential fund ng accomplishment reports sa Office of the Speaker, Office of the Senate President, at Office of the President.
